Hello everyone! How are you doing?
Today is Sunday, November 1, 2026. It is a holiday, which means many people do not have to work, either in private companies or government offices. School students, from elementary school to senior high school, also have a day off. However, university students sometimes still have classes in the morning or afternoon.
In general, Sunday is a holiday in Indonesia.
My Sunday activities usually start at 4:00 AM. As a Muslim, I wake up early to perform he Fajr prayer. After finishing my prayer at the mosque, I return home. Usually, when I arrive home, it is already around 6:00 AM.
At around 6:00 AM, I prepare my breakfast. I usually have a simple breakfast, such as a glass of milk or instant coffee with a little sugar. Sometimes, I add some sweetened condensed milk to my coffee. I also enjoy a piece of cake or some fried rice that I make myself.
Other members of my family also have breakfast. We usually eat together in the living room. Our house is quite spacious, so we can have breakfast in different areas of the house. However, we never have breakfast in the garage

At around 8:00 AM, I usually do some light exercise, such as walking, jogging, or simple warm-up exercises. I have to consider my age because I am no longer young. I am now 55 years old.
It was very different when I was younger, especially during my university days. At that time, I could run fast and walk long distances around my neighborhood.
Many people also do light exercise in the morning, just like me. Some people prefer cycling. Interestingly, many people now create social media content while exercising. These days, almost everything is shared on social media, including exercise and even meals!

At around 10:00 AM, I usually do some household chores. There are many things I can do, such as cutting the grass in front of my house, sweeping, mopping the floor, washing clothes, and other household activities.
There is only one thing I still cannot do very well: cooking!
I cannot really cook.
Of course, I can follow a recipe book, and perhaps one day I will learn how to cook properly. I can cook rice, but preparing other proper meals is still a challenge for me.
When it comes to washing clothes, I always wash them by hand.
At the moment, I do not have a washing machine. Apart from the fact that washing machines can be quite expensive, I can still manage to wash my clothes by hand. It is simple and practical. Besides, I consider it a kind of exercise because washing clothes also makes me sweat!
At around 12:00 noon, I have lunch with my family. My wife prepares the meals, while my children and I usually just enjoy the food she has cooked.
In the afternoon, I usually spend some time reading books. I like sitting on the terrace, enjoying a cup of warm tea and some cakes while reading.
In the evening, I have dinner with my family. Sometimes, we decide to eat outside at a nearby restaurant or a simple local food place close to our home.
Well, those are my Sunday activities. Nothing special, but I enjoy spending my Sunday this way with my family.
How about you?
What do you usually do on Sundays?
